Library Press – Comics Workshop @ Manor House Library
Feb 14 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

This is one of a series of workshops I’m running with Library Press, an organisation that works with libraries, and supports people in creating and publishing their own books.

So you’re writing a comic? Now what? Self-publishing is the best way to get your work seen and get into the comics industry. In this workshop, learn how to plan your book or zine, prepare it for print, and assemble it yourself. We will make and print our own anthology with a copy for everyone to take home. Plus get some top tips about producing, pricing and selling your new product. This workshop is run by Karen Rubins, a writer and artist with years of experience in small-press, indie, and professional comics.

CECAF: Crouch End Cartoon Art Festival @ Earl Haig Hall

CECAF is an independent comics festival in the bustling art enclave of Crouch End. From the CECAF website:

The show will host the best and brightest cartoonists and independent publishers currently active in the UK comic scene.
The past 5 years have seen a huge growth in creators, publishers and consumers of comics. Crouch End is home to some of these cartoonists, so it seems natural to bring this type of event to the hot creative hub of N8. Following on from the energy of this summers smash Crouch End Festival, CECAF will provide the opportunity for all ages to experience the varied and engaging world of the independent comic publisher.

On the day there will be over 25 exhibitors selling a variety of comics, graphic novels, prints and all sorts of visual matter.

Come along, chat and buy comics!
