Join Karen Rubins, artist of The Phoenix Comic’s  Shivers series, to make your own comics! Create the scariest monster you can think of, and a hero to confront it, then write and draw your own comic strip to decide what happens when they meet.

This session is open to children 7 – 11 years old and their parents or carers. Come and create awesome collaborations!

The Inking Woman Exhibition @ The Cartoon Museum

The Inking Woman Exhibition @ The Cartoon Museum

This fantastic exhibition of British women cartoonists and comic artists is running at the Cartoon Museum from 26th April. It features work from over 80 women cartoonists from the 18th Century onwards. The scope is really huge, from political cartoons and satire to long-form storytelling and graphic novels. I am excited to have work exhibited along with a whole host of amazing artists such as Kate Charlesworth, Karrie Fransman, Hannah Berry and Posy Simmonds!

This is definitely a must-see for anyone even vaguely interested in comics, cartoons, drawing or art generally.
